Estimating the funding that a course might attract within the English Further Education market can be a complex task. Working in partnership with Barking and Dagenham College, Capita Business Services have produced a simple step by step course funding calculator that applies the rules for each of the main funding streams to provide a ready reckoner of expected funding.

You Can
· Undertake calculations for 16 to 18, Adult Skills and Apprenticeship funding models
· Choose your Provider and therefore base calculations on known provider values
· Enter estimated student starts in age categories and apply retention and achievement rates
· Choose Guided Learning Hours, Credits or Apprenticeship framework on which to base the funding rate
· Choose a knowledge component and functional skills components
· Choose delivery location and recruitment catchment postcode areas to estimate area and disadvantage uplifts
· Share the resulting calculation with colleagues or employers via your device for example email, sms, dropbox etc
